David Terry was not only academically our top student, he is one of the most refreshing people I have ever met. David is a shining example of true compassion that instantly liberates. I will especially miss his laughter during my strange moments! Here is his beautiful speech:
“I am calling forth the mighty I AM Presence of everyone, to be with us here, now, and forever more, and so it is, and it is so.
Perpetually in your presence, eternally in your awareness, evolving in your consciousness for the highest good of all, I Am, you are, we are, all is.
This perfection, this connection, this everlasting truth, this oneness with all creation and everlasting abundance. This is what I AM. This is what we are.
As we all walk this road of life we are each tugged and pulled in various directions, some of them pleasant, and some of them not so pleasant. When the directions we take lead us to pleasure, we exist in absolute happiness, and joy, and feel love flowing throughout all the cells in our body. And when the directions we take lead us to distress, our tendency is to feel pain, sorrow, fear, separation, and we end up labeling these emotions or feelings as something negative that doesn’t support us, and as we continue with these judgments they become stronger and stronger within our own subconscious mind until they create a pattern or habit so normal to us that we no longer realize that we’ve been judging ourselves and putting ourselves down the entire time. Lifting the veil of judgment from our eyes and coming into the truth that all is here in divine perfection to guide us to our own unique divinity in our own divine timing will shatter any misperceived misdirection and realign us with the external knowledge of the universe that we each hold inside of us. The areas in our life in which we feel the most pain and resistance, are the areas in which our work lies. This is where the gold is, this is where the transformation happens, this is where we reclaim our power, and this is where we, at The University of Mount Shasta, took our stand.
Three individuals came in these doors on the first day of class, all on their own free will, each holding their own intentions and expectations, but all carrying a passion for truth, knowledge, understanding, and the eagerness to learn and grow in their eyes. As we sat around the circle and chimed the singing bowl, we introduced ourselves to one another, made some agreements, and embarked on a journey we would soon never forget. With each passing class we bonded. We shared stories, experiences, feelings, smiles, hugs, laughs, and even tears. We supported each other unconditionally and made this place the safest place possible for our own healing and empowerment as we ventured into our minds to grow ourselves back up to the divine potential and power that we know and are. We were gifted tools by our high vibrational teachers to dive deep within ourselves and assist in breaking the chains that held us back from seeing the divine lesson and perfection of every moment, every feeling, every experience, and every thought. After many long and sometimes heavy hours of self healing, self nurturing, praying and meditating, we emerged from the shadows and stepped into the light of our own divinity and power. But we know that this journey of self evolution is never over, as we will forever continue to reach higher and higher for our greatest truth, healing, and unification with that mighty I AM that we innately are.
Together, we are so blessed to have had this time of growth and learning. These past months have been life changing and transformational for us all. And we have given everything 125%. We are perfection, and each at the top of our own class of life, always doing the very best we possibly can, and if we could do better we would. As we leave here today, we step out into this world with new eyes, compassionate eyes, non judgmental and loving eyes, knowing that we’ve done great work on ourselves. We see the perfection in all that is within us, and around us, and the love and gifts that the world has to offer. We become the example of love for all to witness, as we gently extend our hearts to those around us who seek support. We love unconditionally all aspects of ourselves and others as we are all beings of this absolute perfection. I AM that mighty I AM presence, and when we merge our souls with each other, we become one mighty I AM presence.”
