Our world society is so heterogenous. Some people seem to be on a fast path to enlightenment while so many others seem to be stuck in their suffering. If we are all made equally by our Creator, why are so many down and out, while others are realizing their happiness and abundance? The difference boils down to one main quality, Self-Love.
Self-love is the Fast Path to Healing and Enlightenment.
When I first heard this, I felt an uncomfortable reaction; “This sounds like a new age form of selfishness,” I thought; as though self love and divine love are different. Then, I had to own the fact the part of me that thought this still thought of myself as a separate ego.
My deeper Authentic Self corrected me, Self-love and God’s love are really one and the same. When one reaches up to God’s love, it took this choice from oneself to have this divine experience.
You must love yourself enough to realize you deserve an experience of God’s love, the collective loving that permeates all things and beats all hearts. Can you feel this Great Loving now? It will take your self love to open your heart to the possibility of a great ocean of loving that is available to you now. Can you feel it? If not, you are not alone.
We have all been taught we each are an ego that is separate from God. This is the core cause of our suffering that was learned, and it can be unlearned. As long as we believe we are separate from God, we will feel ourselves unlovable. We will not feel enthusiasm for our sense of purpose because we will not fully trust ourselves, our direction, our power, our genius. We will feel undeserving of our own love and others love, which are really expressions of God’s love. God’s love must come through our self loving. If we don’t believe and feel we deserve God’s love (the Great Loving of the Universe), there is no way we can experience it. Only when we decide we are worthy can the floodgates of our hearts open to this Great loving that heals all issues and guides us to our magic and miracles. When we believe and feel ourselves undeserving of our own love we are also blocking God’s love and other’s love. Bottom line: God’s love cannot be felt without your choice to love yourself. If you decide to love yourself without conditions, you are letting God’s love into your life to do its magic.
You can feel fully deserving of God’s love and others love when you realize that you are not your human ego. The human ego is all the negative layers of wrong understanding about yourself and others; the idea that you can’t trust yourself or others. If you feel there is something evil lurking in others to be afraid of, it is because of the layers of memories when you and others made mistakes in your past – that have yet to be forgiven and cleared by you.
See yourself and others as God sees you, already forgiven, accepted, and appreciated as you are today. If you are having a challenge with seeing your own and others divinity, you can raise your consciousness to this higher dimension simply by forgiving yourself and others for believing you are anything less than God’s innocence, love, wisdom, and power that can only do good. Open your eyes to your real Self. You are not a decaying body, diseased, or addicted to anything. You are made in the image of your loving Creator; an unlimited Creator yourself. Only when you continue to acknowledge how awesome and unlimited you are, will your mind, feelings, body, and body of affairs including your career and relationships mirror back your unfolding perfect life of abundance and good will.
We are made in the image and likeness of our Creator. The Self is not an encapsulate ego, rather it is omnipresent. I am in you and you are in me. Thus, when you love others, you are loving yourself. And when you are loving yourself, you are loving others simultaneously. Codependence says: “I must sacrifice my self love to love others.” Narcissism says, “I must ignore others to love myself.” Neither of these learned survival mechanisms are true expressions of love. In a nutshell, true love is self-loving shared.
HOW Do You Love Yourself?
This is the big question. There is no one magic regime that will do it all. Life is designed to give ourselves opportunities to love ourselves and others in thousands of ways. Each moment calls for a new way to love. I desire to write a book or two on this subject, but for now I’d like to share my tip-top favorite ways.
My favorite self-love discipline is giving yourself what I call your “Golden Hour. ” How you start your day sets the precedence for the entire day, therefore make it a daily habit to give yourself the first hour of the day full of you favorite ways to love yourself. Do this even if you have to wake up earlier, for you will eventually gain more energy imaginable for making this choice. There must be no distractions. Schedule this time frame in your calendar, and hold to it as though your life depends on it, because it does. What you do is up to do. Whatever it is, it needs to be super fulfilling and empowering, and I recommend that you change it up so it is always refreshing. Here’s my basic regimen:
- Upon arising I start with deep breathing to wake myself up and begin to feel my divine energy moving up and down my spine. (Sure beats coffee!)
- Then I do some kind of exercise for about 20 to 30 minutes…Either, the Tibetan 5 Rites (An energizing yoga routine; google it.) Or, I will get outside and jog or walk while practicing a breath technique called BreathPlay.
- I usually fast from food during this first hour with just water or orange juice. If I feel the need for something more, I do a Liver Flush (One orange, one lemon, 2-3 cloves of garlic, tablespoon of olive oil, dash of cayenne pepper, and 2-3 ice cubes all blended together.)
- I then read my decrees out loud, proclaiming my unlimited love, wisdom, and power to have the best day of my life!
- Then I read from some spiritual literature like The Course in Miracles or The I AM Discourses Vol #3
- Lastly, I answer the following powerful question…
“If I were someone who truly loved themselves, what would he/she do today if he/she were in my situation?”… And then trust what comes. I say the question this way to help myself step outside of my ego mind. By seeing myself as someone else who loves oneself, I might realize a different way of loving that I might have avoided before – like getting a massage, getting the taxes done, or changing one’s diet, enjoying more exercise outdoors, being more social when I have been a hermit, or spending quality time in solitude if my energy has felt compromised by the social scene.
How self love looks is unique to each person and situation. There is no one cure-all except self love itself – realized, consistently, and uniquely demonstrated by each person. The bottom line here is, it is impossible to realize your ABUNDANT LIFE without loving yourself. So, why not take your self loving to a new level now? Asking this magic question all the time throughout the day, and you have entered the fast path to authentic happiness.
Right now, play with me for a moment -if you will… Ask yourself, “What would I do now if I was someone who truly loved him/herself?” Once you have received an answer from within your heart write it down and make a commitment to do it.
When you have more time on your hands to step back and look at the big picture of your life, ask yourself this life changing question, “If I were an unlimited creator being that had no restrictions including financial, how would I love myself and the world? You’re welcome to reply with your response to these questions by email or on our Facebook page for social interaction – or just hold it in silence – as your self loving guides you to do. By the way… You ARE an unlimited Creator Being that has no restrictions except those you agree to believe in with your mind. If Helen Keller lived without limits; so can you!
What will I do at this moment?… Publish this writing, and go on and publish a book – as if my words make a difference!
Love and Blessings
